Strong SW flow over the extreme southern Interior persists as the remnants of a front passes this morning. Generally unstable conditions will prevail across BC today with onshore flow bringing precipitation to the higher terrain of the north/central Coast Range.
On Tuesday another front will cross Vancouver Island in the morning then the BC Interior in the afternoon.
In the outlook, NW flow aloft will bring a series of weak storms Wednesday through Thursday. Most of the precipitation will fall on the Coast with light amounts over the eastern Interior.
On Friday a strong upper ridge will build offshore.
Confidence is high through Tuesday because the Regional and GFS have similar timing and QPF distributions. Beyond Tuesday, rapidly moving storms in the strong NW flow reduces confidence in timing
