A warm ridge of high pressure will dominate the
weather pattern for a few more days. Along the coast and through most interior valleys, the ridge will trap low cloud and fog under a temperature inversion. The ridge will persist through the weekend.
Late Sunday an Arctic front will stall on the BC/AB border, then retreat late Monday.
At the same time, a low pressure system will approach the coast of BC. Models diverge on the depth and location of the low but in general the pattern is similar; an elongated front is forecast to almost
parallel the coast and give light precipitation to the coast Monday night or early Tuesday.
Overall confidence is high.
