The remains of a weakening upper trough will move across the eastern
BC Interior this morning giving light snow to the Columbia and Kootenay regions. Behind the trough, an upper ridge will rebuild west of Vancouver Island this morning and increase in strength through Thursday afternoon.
A vigorous offshore frontal system will be shunted toward the southern Alaskan coast and the Alaskan Panhandle.
The upper ridge will persist off the BC Coast in the extended period keeping the province dry from Friday through Sunday.
Confidence is relatively high as the models agree on the position and the amplitude of the upper ridge.
