Blowing snow warning extended until mid-morning as winds remained strong through the night, easing marginally to 25G35kt just before issue time. New GEM (06Z) maintains 20-25kt LLJ until 15Z.

On the other hand, winter storm warnings ended for Haines-Skagway as FZLVL climbs above 1000 metres, and Frase Camp has warmed to 1C. Still some light snow expected with minor accumulations above 1000 metres and strong winds continue, but it has become too mild to generate blowing snow and reduced visibility which justified the winter storm designation last night. Also reissued the WOCN11 for warm weather coming up this weekend, still good consensus among models, warmest day may occur later, Sunday or Monday are likely candidates, followed by some cooling accompanying shift from offshore to onshore flow before eventual marine push around mid-week. PAB/1320Z
